TINDARO AGATINO SMIROLDO "Guy"  

On November 27, 2017, Tindaro A. Smiroldo (age 78)
of Temple Hills, Maryland passed away after a
courageous fight with a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife Tindara (Mirabile) Smiroldo
of 48 years; his three daughters Linda Herda (Patrick)
of Paris, France, Diana Goodman (Jonathan) of
Kensington, MD and Melissa Harrington (Tom) of
Bristow, VA; and his grandchildren Isabella,
Genevieve, Julian (and his siblings David and Diana)
and Michael Tindaro.

Born a U.S. citizen in Antillo, Sicily, Italy on September
2, 1939, he was the youngest child of Carmelo and
Giuseppina (Italiano) Smiroldo. At the age of 9, he moved to Washington, D.C.,
where he graduated from
Anacostia High School  (1959)  He then proudly served
with the U.S Army, completing a three-year tour of duty in Germany during the Cold
War. He had a distinguished career with the U.S. Government for nearly 40 years,
retiring as a managing director of printing services for the Department of Defense
at the Pentagon.

He was preceded in death by his sister Maria Zizzo and is survived by his brother
Onofrio Smiroldo. He was a loving uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to so many who
will miss him.

Family will receive friends at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill
Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Sunday, December 3 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday,
December 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, December 5 at 10 a.m. at Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, 595 3rd St., NW, Washington, DC 20001.

Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.
