On Wednesday, April 23, 2014, Robert E.
Wolfgang passed away at Sarasota Memorial
Hospital.

Mr. Wolfgang was born on September 27, 1928, in York, Pa. to John
Henry and Marie Jacobs Wolfgang.

He graduated from
Anacostia High School (46) in Washington, DC,
where he starred in basketball. He studied accounting at The George
Washington University, and he was a member of the DC Air National
Guard.

He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Jane Leibrand, AHS (47)
on January 9, 1949.

Mr. Wolfgang retired from the US Navy Oceanographic Center, where
he worked as a cartographer. He also served as Vice-president of
Hartman Realty, where he sold and managed properties.

He and his wife moved to Sarasota in 1979, where he worked for the
Sarasota County School Board.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane, four children, Regina
Wolfgang of Sarasota, Robert of North Bethesda, Md., Roger and his
wife Sandy of Glenwood, Md., and Robin Wolfgang Nogle of Dunkirk,
Md., six grandchildren, Lindsay, Joseph, and Adam Nogle, and
Kimberly, Zeke, and Max Wolfgang, and two great grandchildren,
Chaedence and Brody Lee.

A Celebration Of Life will take place on June 7, 2014, at 1pm in the
Village in the Pines Clubhouse, 3521 Tree Line Drive, Sarasota.
