Christina Louise Hartsuff Murphy

Christina Louise "Chrissy" or "Christy" Murphy died
Sunday, November 2, 2014 after a long battle with poor
health. She succumbed peacefully and painless just
before midnight at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

She was the proud and loving mother of six. Born March
18, 1939, she attended Congress Heights Elementary,
Kramer Junior High, and
Anacostia High School
(1958),
all in SE Washington, D.C.

A housewife and mother most of her life; she also spent
a number of years tending bar, mostly at Lou's
Woodland Restaurant in Edgewater, and some others
around Annapolis.

She spent a few years as a state employee, working for the Governor's Office.
Mostly, though, she would say she was a Professional Parent. At it, she did a
wonderful job.

She is survived by; her six children, Daniel Joseph Murphy of Reading, PA; Jaimie
Anne Rising of Indiana, PA; Sean Augustine Murphy of Annapolis, MD; Sally
Christina Dumenil and Thomas Patrick Murphy, both of Atlanta, GA; Christina Marie
Snavely of South Boston, VA. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren.

Services will be held this Saturday, November 8th, from 1 pm in the chapel and 2 pm
graveside at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, MD.
