GREENFIELD - Audrey L. Reum, 85, died
peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2017
surrounded by the love and care of her sons
and grandchildren and many caregivers.
Born in Washington, DC on February 15, 1932,
she was the daughter of Harry and Frances (Bowie) Leverette. A graduate of
Anacostia High School (1950), Washington, DC, Audrey married Robert D.
Brazeau and they had four children together, Richard Brazeau, Robert Brazeau Jr.,
Patricia Martin and Eric Brazeau. In 1971 Audrey married William Reum, they lived
happily together for 30 years in Greenfield, MA.
Audrey started her work career at the Pentagon in Washington, DC as a secretary
to the Naval Intelligence Department. From there she worked at the Franklin Nursing
Home as a Secretary then moved to Franklin Medical Center where she worked as
a Secretary in the Pathology Department. In 1977 Audrey started her own business
""Audrey's Wigs"" until October 2017 selling and styling wigs for her customers.
Audrey was devoted, kind and showed loving compassion to her customers.
Audrey loved to cook, go dancing, traveling and spending time with her children,
grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her sons: Eric
Brazeau and his finance, Laurie Amarosa; Robert Brazeau, Jr.; Richard Brazeau
and his wife, Debbie Brazeau and is predeceased by her daughter Patricia Martin.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Meagan Bassett, Patrick
Bassett, Leah Martin and her finance Joe Boucher; Ryan Brazeau and his wife
Heather Brazeau; Jennifer Brazeau and her finance Louis Cousino; Tracy Brazeau
and Neal Brazeau; great grandchildren Lucy Brazeau-Cousino and Lydia Brazeau.
There will be a memorial service at the First Congregational Church of Greenfield,
43 Silver Street, Greenfield, MA on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10 am.
Coffee hour will follow at the church.
