W. Frederick "Fred" Gore, 89, formerly of Washington, DC, passed away Monday,
December 5, 2016 at Stafford Hospital.

Mr. Gore was a lifelong member of Wisconsin Avenue Baptist Church. He was a graduate of
Woodrow Wilson High School (1945) and George Washington University.

Mr. Gore was a life member of William R. Singleton-Hope-Lebanon Lodge # 7 and a 33rd
degree member of the Valley of Washington Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. He was a
past Grand high Priest of the Grand Chapter RAM, a past Grand Commander of the Grand
Commandery of Knights Templer of Washington, DC and at the time of his passing a
Special Aide to the Grand Master of Masons of DC. He was a life member of the Eastern
Star OES Chapter 17 of the District of Columbia.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Marie Stephens (Bill) and Pamela Jean Hicks
(Larry) of; and nine grandchildren Cory, Megan, Anna Grace, Noah, Joshua, and Paris
Hicks, Kristin Hicks McClure (James) and their daughter, Maitland and Thomas and John
Stephens; and sister, Mary A. Gore.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean Marie Gore.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 12 at Wisconsin Avenue Baptist
Church, Washington DC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Rock Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Masonic Foundation of the District of Columbia
or Shriners Hospital for Children .
