TOLBERT H. KONIGSBERG "Toby"
On Monday, January 8, 2018, Toby passed away peacefully at the Virginian in Fairfax, VA.
Toby was born in Washington, DC in 1921 and was a graduate of Wilson High School
(1939) and the University of Maryland.
Toby served in the US Navy during WWII as an aeronautical engineer.
Toby owned his own mechanical contracting company for 25 years and retired when he was in
his early 70s. Toby was the former president of the Rock Creek Lions Club. An avid sailor,
Toby was the former Commodore of the Selby Bay Yacht Club.
Toby is the beloved husband of the late Jean Schlesinger Konigsberg.
Father of James L. Konigsberg (Donna) and the late David Mark Konigsberg; brother of
Florence Brody, Betty J. Goldstein and the late Louise Herman; grandfather of David
Alexander (Jessica), Noah Benjamin and Hannah Turner Konigsberg. Toby is also survived by
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
