SIDNEY SEIDENMAN, JR.
Sidney Seidenman Jr., 92, died peacefully at his home in Birmingham on Sunday, September
He grew up and lived all but the last five years of his life in Washington. Sidney served in the
Army's 104th Infantry Division during WWII before returning to Washington where he
graduated from Catholic University and then followed his father into the music business, filling
many weddings, parties and even presidential balls with the sounds of Sidney's Orchestra.
Sidney made friends easily and kept them. He had close friendships from each stage of his
life - high school, the army, college, Kiwanis, his business, tennis and bridge, as well as his
last years in Birmingham.
They and their children were an important and valued part of his family.
Survivors include his niece and nephew, Ronne and Donald Hess, along with dozens of great
and great-great nieces and nephews.
