Doris Kingbury Lee

1925 - 2021

On January 18, 2021, Doris K. Lee, (nee Kingsbury) passed away.

She was the beloved wife of William V. Lee, who predeceased
her in 1972. Loving daughter of the late Maude L. Wagner and the
late Joseph Manning Kingsbury, sister of the late Genevieve K. O'Connell, the late Louise K.
Rice, and the late Mary Ann Lillie.

Loving mother of Clifford A. Lee (Denise) and Joseph Manning Lee (Julie); grandmother of
Gregory (Jill), Rosemary (Sina Farzinfard), Brian (Kathleen), Mary Beth, Brendan (Alex), Nancy
(Joe Minardi), and Bridget; and great grandmother of Grace and Declan Lee. She had great
affection for the many beloved nieces and nephews she leaves behind.

Doris was born January 21, 1925 in Washington, DC and attended
Woodrow Wilson High
School (1943)
in Washington.

She was proud of her work for the War Department during WWII, and held a lifelong interest in
gardening, antiques, arts and crafts, and volunteering for Montgomery County widowed person
services and many other community organizations. She loved her hometown of Kensington,
MD, where she resided for over 70 years.

In a final letter, she told her family"My wishes for you are that you have faith in God, always be
honest, and take time to enjoy the most precious things God has given us - the birds, the
flowers, and each other." She lived her life by those rules.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at The Landing of Silver Spring where she lived for
the past year.

Services will be private. A private inturnment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Barnesville,
