Dorothy Ann Jarmoska of West Chester Dorothy Ann Jarmoska, 89, of West Chester, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Barclay Friends, West Chester.
She was the beloved wife of the late George W. Jarmoska, who passed away in Sept. of 2011.
Born in Washington, D.C., Dorothy was a daughter of the late George Edward and Marjorie Selleck Clark. Dorothy grew up in Washington, D.C. where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She then received her bachelor's in education from University of Maryland where she was also a member of the Delta-Delta-Delta Sorority. It was at Maryland that she met George.
During their 65 years of marriage, they lived in Jersey Shore and Yardley, Pa., North Conway, N.H. and then Woodstock, Va. before moving to Chester County in 2003.
She was very active with the PTA and homeroom mothers while her children were growing up in Yardley. Throughout her life Dorothy was an avid and talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also played golf and cross country skied.
Mrs. Jarmoska is survived by her sister, Marjorie Clark; her daughter, Jeanne Jarmoska and her partner, Donna Hankins of West Chester; her son, Donald and his wife, Barbara of Williamsport; grandchildren, Melian and Dustan McKee and his wife, Carlyn; and great-grandchildren, Archer and Cerafina McKee.
She was predeceased by her brother, George E. Clark.
Funeral services will be held privately with the family.
