Obituary for Paul Beasley

Paul Joseph Beasley, 68, of Colton’s Point, MD, formerly from Washington, DC, passed
away surrounded by his loving family on August 4, 2015 in Mechanicsville, MD.

Born on November 21, 1946, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Mary Ann
Beasley and Charles Casey Beasley. Paul was the loving husband of the late Honora
(Nora) Beasley whom he married in Washington, DC, in 1967, and who preceded him in
death.

Paul is survived by his daughter Molly Ann Beasley and granddaughter Maggie McLaughlin
both of Mechanicsville, MD. Siblings: James Beasley (Sue), Louise Davis both of
Maryland, Richard Beasley of Longs, SC, and Maxine Jacobs of Washington, DC.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Alice Parker and Charles Beasley.

Paul served in the United States Army from May 31, 1964 to May 26, 1967; his duty station
was in Ft. Gordon, Georgia. While serving in the Army, he earned the National Defense
Service Medal.

Paul moved from St. Mary’s County, MD in 1970 and worked as a Mailer/Journeyman for
the Washington Post Newspaper for 23 years, retiring in March, 2009.

He loved making models cars, and attending old car and truck shows.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 2:00PM in the
Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.

A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be private.
