Hospital. He had Alzheimer's disease.
Mr. Mazo was a lifelong Washington resident who graduated from Western High
School (1935) and what is now Catholic University's law school.
In addition to the restaurant and liquor store, he owned and operated a delicatessen at
18th Street and Columbia Road NW. He ran Mazo Realty in the mid-1960s and retired
about 10 years later.
He enjoyed reading biographies and history, traveled to six continents and regularly
