On January 1, 2019, Milton (Mickey) Heller of Chevy Chase
passed away at 89.
Milton was born in Washington, DC at old Sibley Memorial
Hospital. He graduated from Western High School (1947)
and went on to attend George Washington University,
ultimately graduating from George Washington Law.
He was a gifted trial attorney, practicing in the District and Maryland for many years. He
served in various leadership roles for the Bar Association of the District of Columbia and
the Trial Lawyers Association, and was highly regarded as a plaintiff's attorney.
His parents, Isidor and Rebecca Heller predeceased him, as did his nephew, Robert
He is survived by his sister, Minerva Heller Neiditz, nephew, Jon Neiditz and his wife,
Anne Beidler, their children, Hannah and Qui Qing. He is also survived by his long-time
partner, Barbara, her daughters, Cathy (Douglas) and Liz (Steve), and grandchildren,
Braeden, Abigail, Emma, Jane and Alice.
A private internment is planned. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
