Isabel School teacher, dies at 103

Margaret L. Dell, 103, who taught kindergarten at the old Lady Isabel School in Bethesda
during the 1950s and 1960s, died Feb. 1 at her home in Bethesda. She had congestive
heart failure, said her daughter-in-law, Carole Dell.

Margaret Jullien Lundy, a native Washingtonian, was a graduate of
Western High
School (1927)
and Wilson Teachers College.

Her hobbies included tennis and knitting. She donated blankets, bonnets and booties that
she crafted with her needles to the National Christ Child Society.

Her memberships included the Columbia Country Club.

Her husband, Julian Dell Jr., whom she married in 1934, died in 1986. Their son Julian
P. Dell III died in 2001.

Survivors include three children, Mary Lou Dell of Chevy Chase, Donald Dell of Potomac
and Richard Dell Laguna Niguel, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
