LOIS E. LASSER (Age 82) Died on March 3, 2010 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.
She had been a Montgomery County resident and a volunteer at Shady Grove Adventist
for more than twenty years.
Mrs. Lasser was born Lois Anne Elgin on August 12, 1927, the daughter of Eugene and
Elizabeth B. Elgin.
She graduated from Western High School (1946) in Washington, D.C., and later
studied at the Corcoran School of Art.
She and her husband, Daniel J. Lasser, married on April 24, 1954.
Mr. and Mrs. Lasser spent two years in Japan, where he was stationed with the Air
Force, and then settled in California for fourteen years before moving to settle
permanently in Rockville, Maryland.
Mrs. Lasser was a prolific artist who explored not only painting and drawing but also
sculpture. She had a lengthy relationship with Montgomery College''s art department,
where she did much of her work.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Daniel J. Lasser. Funeral services and
