Frada Strauss Green

 Frada Green, passed away on December 21st 2015 at
Glen Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Panama
City, Florida. 

She was born on February 16, 1934 in Akron, Ohio.

Frada grew up in Washington DC. She graduated from
McKinley High School (1951) in Washington DC in 1951.
After high school she attended American University in
Washington DC where she received a Bachelor's Degree
in Political Science. She later attended the University of
Illinois where she received a Master's Degree in Education. 

Frada worked for the federal government (mostly DOD) from 1957 to 1987. She moved to
Urbana, Illinois in 1970 and worked at Chanute Field in Rantoul until retirement. 

Frada married Walter Green in 1984 in Danville, Illinois. They were happily married for 20 years
until his death. After retiring Frada taught reading and English as a Second Language in the
Danville community. She volunteered in several libraries including the Danville Public Library in
Danville, Illinois and Lynn Haven Public Library in Lynn haven, Florida. She was an avid patron
of the arts. Frada and Walter traveled extensively enjoying the elder hostel programs. 

Frada was preceded in death by her husband Walter Green and her son Stephen Deutsch. 

She is survived by her son from her first marriage Lawrence Deutsch (Davenie) of Lynn Haven,
Florida, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Wilson of Edmond, Oklahoma, and her brother William
Strauss (Frances) of Urbana, Illinois, her grandchildren Rachel Deutsch, Adam Deutsch, and
Michael Deutsch.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday December 29, 2015 at Springhill
Cemetery, Danville, Illinois.
