On Tuesday, November 21, Elizabeth "Betty" Matthews
passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love.
Born in 1933 and raised in Washington, DC, Betty lived
most of her life in Adelphi, MD.
She is survived by her three grown children, Colleen
Auburger (Chad), Maureen Bush (Jerry) and Michael
Matthews (Claire) and five beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn,
Riley, Brian, Emily and Abigail.
Her husband, Joseph Matthews, passed away in 1995.
The family will receive guests for visitation at 10 a.m. and
mass will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5,
2017, at St. Camillus Catholic Church, 1600 St Camillus
Dr., Silver Spring, MD.
Interment at Arlington Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital Caring Hospice, 2900 Telestar Ct., Falls
Church, VA 22042.
