|Betty Katherine Suit Kruelle

Betty Katherine (nee Suit) Kruelle went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday,
February 9, 2018 at home after a brief illness, she was 84.
Born in Washington, DC on November 25, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Ralph A. Suit
and Annie M. (Divver) Suit. Mrs. Kruelle was an Edgewater, MD resident for 62 years. Betty
attended McKinley Technical High School, Washington, DC, graduating in 1951
Betty was a homemaker while her children were young to be at home and raise them. She then
went on to outside employment for herself, working at different government agencies such as
the State Dept, Dept of Defense, and the FBI and Naval Communications. She also worked for
the Board of Education. Betty's first and favorite job was with the Passport Division of the State
She was a long time member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mt. Rainier, MD, where
Gus and Betty were married over 65 years ago. Betty had a great love of family especially her
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Many interests include; travel, music, reading,
puzzles, card and board games, sewing, genealogy, horse racing, cooking and baking. Her
favorite vacation had been to Bermuda.
Her survivors include her husband August "Gus" Henry Kruelle who she married on June 7,
1952, her children; Dale Kruelle, Hughesville, PA, Linda G. Kruelle, College Park, MD, Pat
Wilhite, Acworth, GA and Kathy Southwick, Severna Park, MD as well as her siblings; Charles
Suit, Diamondhead, MS and Shirley Thompson, St. Michaels, MD. Betty was the loving
grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of four.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ralph H. Suit, Sr and her parents.
Relatives and friends may call at the Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A. 12 Ridgely Ave. Annapolis,
MD on Monday February 12, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday
February 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 30th St. and Bunker
Hill Rd., Mt. Rainier, MD 20712 interment following at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 West
Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake or The Salvation Army.
