Betty Harrison Resident of Austin, Texas Betty
Faye Harrison, age 86, of Austin, Texas was called to
join her Lord and Savior on November 8, 2011.
She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 2,
1925 to Omer and Marie Otto. During her childhood, she
lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and then moved to Washington
D.C. where she graduated from McKinley High School
Shortly after graduating she met the love of her life, "Jack" Harrison and they were
married in 1946 and shared 64 wonderful years together with extensive traveling as
a shared hobby. Betty and Jack lived in the D.C. area then spent 8 years in Dallas,
Texas. They moved to Rochester, New York for three years and in Walnut Creek,
California for 36 years before they retired to Austin to be closer to family.
Betty always enjoyed her Garden Clubs, working in the Altar Society of her local
church, and she was an avid bridge player.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack.
Survivors include her son Greg Harrison and wife Brenda of Austin; daughters: Jan
Foster and husband Jeff of Dallas, and Kim Mulrooney and husband Tom of
Fresno, California; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on November 14, 2011 at St. Vincent de Paul
in Austin. Burial will follow at the Texas Veteran Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
