MARIE JOYCE BOCCABELLO  (Age 88)  

Of Lusby and Edgewater, MD, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2015
of heart failure following an 8 month illness.

Born December 3, 1926 in Washington, DC to the late Dorothy
and Larry Winstead, she attended
McKinley Technology High
School (1944).

Marie worked for the Department of the Navy during WWII. She
enjoyed bowling, ceramics, antiquing and decorating. Marie was
a member of St. Mark's Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Church and Our Lady Star of the Sea.

She was the devoted wife of the late Francis Boccabello; beloved mother of Francis (Virginia)
Boccabello of Bradenton, FL, Stephen (Sheryl) Boccabello of Edgewater, MD, Marie (John)
Turner of Lusby and Judith (James) Liggett of Bowie, MD; sister of Elizabeth Meeks, Dorothy
Loftman and the late Herbert Winstead; grandmother of John, Patrick, Joyce, Anthony and
Emma Boccabello, Katelyn and Steven Turner, Johnnie Ploor and Pamela Liggett;
great-grandmother of Dominic, John and James Boccabello, Lily, Sam and Luke Eason,
Steven Ploor and Henry Scrittore; great-great-grandmother of Leo Boccabello.

Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater,
MD on Sunday, August 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater, MD.
