DOROTHY VERNON WORTHINGTON  

Dorothy V. Worthington, 101, died peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, February
4, 2015.

Widow of William W. Worthington (Bill). Beloved daughter of Catherine A. Brosnan and Charles
S. Vernon. Dorothy was a fifth generation native of Washington, DC. She graduated from
McKinley High School (1931). Attended George Washington University.

Was the Director of Volunteers, Mercy Hospital, Portsmouth, Ohio. Dorothy worked for 25 years
as a volunteer at Fairfax Hospital.

Survived by her son Robert C. Worthington, Portsmouth, Ohio, two granddaughters, two nieces
and a nephew.

Memorial mass to be held 10 a.m. Friday February 20, in the Chapel at her retirement
community Westminster at Lake Ridge, VA.

Burial in Logansport, Indiana.
