Charles Perkins Died August 14. 1994

Charles William Perkins, a resident of the Annapolis area for the past 25years, died Friday,
August 12th of cancer at his home after a brief illness. He was 64.

Mr. Perkins was born in New York City and raised in Washington, D.C., where he was a
graduate of
McKinleyTech High School 1944.

He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.

In 1980, he retired after working for 30 years with the Government PrintingOffice in Washington,
D.C.

He was active in youth activities at St. Jude's Parish in Rockville and in the Cape St. Claire
Recreation Council. He enjoyed sports.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Patricia Smith Perkins; a son, Russ Perkins of
Boonsboro; and a daughter, Karen Perkins of the home. Services will be at Maryland Veterans
Cemetery Chapel in Crownsville,followed by burial in Maryland Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Anne Arundel Medical
Center,Franklin and Cathedral streets, Annapolis, MD 21401.
