Jane Eggman  1925 - 2018

Jane (Elbert, Burkett) Eggman was born on May 5, 1925 in
Washington D.C. to Jane and John Elbert. She passed away on
May 5, 2018 at the age of 93.

She attended Holy Comforter and
St. Patrick's Academy (1943)  
in Washington D.C. While living in DC, she was employed by the
National Catholic of Catholic Men who sponsored the Catholic
Hour. During World War II she met and married Donald Burkett of
Dinuba, California who was stationed at Solomon's Island, Maryland.
After the war she and Donald settled in Dinuba, California. They had two children; a daughter,
Donna and a son, Larry.

Jane was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Dinuba for 40 years, singing in the
choir and sometimes filled in as director. She was President and Secretary of St. Catherine's
Altar Society, and also served on the parish council. She also helped with the Sunday Bulletin.

Jane was employed by Pacific Gas and Electric Co in Dinuba, and later by Wickes Forest
Industries (which later became Dinuba Timber Industries). She held many different positions
from Secretary and Personnel Manager to Accounts Payable Supervisor, she retired from
Dinuba Timber in 1990. She married Andrew Max Eggman of Terra Bella on October 13,
1990. They were married for 28 years. She was a member of Catholic Daughters at St.
Anne's/Holy Cross Catholic Church in Porterville. She also taught Children's Sunday school,
and worked at the Porterville's St. Anne's Food Pantry up until the age of 92.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Burkett; her mother, father, sister and
most recently her daughter, Donna Keifer.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew "Max" Eggman; son, Larry Burkett; son-in-law
(Donna's husband), Chris Keifer; grandsons, Christopher & Mychal (his wife Shelly and their
daughter Zoey); granddaughter, Jenny (and her daughters Destany, Rose, and Bethany);
granddaughter, Christie (and her sons Kai and Rio); granddaughter, Sara (and her children
Kimberly and Leo); granddaughter, Theresa (and her daughter Mackenzie). She is also
survived by Max's kids: daughter, Jamie Finnsson (and her husband Bruce, with their children,
Michael, Daniel and his wife Emily, Jonathan with his son Nico, Thomas and his wife
Amanda); son, Andrew (with his wife Lisa, and their children Jesse with his wife Sara, and
their children Makiah and Amelia Joy); grandsons, Aaron (with his wife Sally, and grandson
Jeremy), Michael (and his wife Verena, and their son's Benjamin and Niclas of Germany).

A Viewing will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, CA on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from
4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Rosary from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Also, A Mass of Christian Burial
will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Porterville, CA on Friday May 18, at 11:00 AM.

Interment to be private.
