BARBARA JEAN EHRMANTRAUT
Died on September 10, 2016 at Talbot Hospice. She was 83.
Born on April 11, 1933 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Corrie Lee Ricks and Florence Teal Ricks.
Barbara graduated from St. Patrick's Academy High School (1951) and Marymount University in Arlington, VA. She was employed as an administrative assistant with the Justice Department in Washington, DC, for many years.
She married William A. Ehrmantraut on September 14, 1963 and they made their home in Bethesda, Rockville and Potomac, MD, before settling in Easton, MD in 1985.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, music, old movies and crafts. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son, William A. Ehrmantraut, Jr. of Preston, MD and her daughter, Carolyn Ehrmantraut of Easton, VA and her grandson, Jason Ehrmantraut of Preston, MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Ehrmantraut, sisters; Winnie Judy and Bernice Rawlings and a brother Corrie L. Ricks, Jr.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1210 S. Washington St., Easton, MD.
A visitation will be held one hour prior from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
