Harry B. McLaughlin, Jr.
Passed away on January 22, 2017.
He was born in Washington, DC. during the Great
Depression. He spent his summers at North Beach. He
was Cadet Colonel, St Johns High School class of 48.
He fought in the Korean War.
He was married to Helen for 60 years. She laughed at all his jokes. He loved her. In
Highland, MD they raised and are survived by their five sons; 10 grandchildren and a
He retired from C&P Telephone after 35 years of service. Moved to Reedville, VA to golf
and work on boats. He was an American original, one of a kind. A genuinely funny person. A
straight shooter. A good judge of character. It was no secret that he didn't care much for
Barak Obama or Hillary Clinton. He died just after the inauguration with that grin on his face.
If you knew Harry, you know that grin. He will be missed.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Louis Church, Clarksville, MD at 10 a.m. on
Friday, February 10, 2017.
