Mary Lucy Patane, 84, a 25-year resident of Annapolis and
previously of Bethesda, MD, passed away on November 26,
2017 at her home surrounded by family.
Born on February 4, 1933 in Washington, DC, Mary was a
oving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her greatest passion was spending time with her family.
She was a graduate of St. Cecilia High School (1951) and Immaculata College in DC.
Mary was a member of the Annapolis Friends of the Arts, Annapolis Yacht Club and Amberly
Book Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Albert D. Patane; her devoted children,
Rosemarie (Roger) Hale and Anthony J. (Denise) Patane, all of Annapolis; one brother,
Anthony J. (Angelina) Izzo, also of Annapolis; five grandchildren, Robert (Rebecca) Allegar,
Marie (Mike) Edwards, and Christopher (Anne), Kevin and Anthony "TJ" Patane; three
great-grandchildren, Alexis, Maxwell and Ryan; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to celebrate Mary's life with her family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on
Wednesday, November 29 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 30 at St. John
Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis.
