Jutta S. Kleinert Levy

On Wednesday, September 4, 2013, JUTTA S.
LEVY of Rockville, MD. Beloved wife for 52 years of
the late Harold Levy; loving mother of Sharon (Jerry)
Ricucci of Sterling, VA and Debbie Levy (Rick
Hoffman) of Potomac, MD; cherished grandmother
of Alex and Ben Hoffman; dear sister of the late Ruth
Horwitz. Also survived by nieces, nephews,
grand-nieces and grand-nephews and so many friends
of all ages.

Jutta was born in Hamburg, Germany and came to the U.S. in November 1938
at the age of 12. After a brief stay in New York, she and her family settled in
Washington, D.C. An avid movie fan, Jutta credited countless hours spent as a
newly arrived immigrant in Washington's movie theaters for the unaccented
English that she quickly learned. Jutta attended
Roosevelt High School and
George Washington University. She stopped her schooling to work in her
father's business, Salzberg Costume Jewelry. Jutta enjoyed visiting customers
all over D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, and loved her buying trips to New York
and Providence.

Later in life, she worked in the travel business and traveled extensively with
her husband. A wonderful conversationalist, enthusiastic theatergoer, and
always game for experiences and adventures, Jutta was an inspiration to her
family and friends-and she was a whole lot of fun.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013, 2 p.m. at Temple
