On Sunday, October 7, 2018, Arlene Schlein Golub (Jerome,
deceased) passed away peacefully at Potomac Valley
Nursing Home in Rockville, MD, at age 83. A Washingtonian
by birth, Arlene moved to Silver Spring in 1962 and Rockville
in 1970. Born in Washington in 1935 to Maurice and Rose
(Berman) Schlein, Arlene attended
Roosevelt High School
(1953).
She graduated from George Washington University in Washington, DC in 1962 with

including Sloanes, Hechts, Woodward & Lothrop throughout the 1960's before establishing
her own business, Arlene Golub Interiors, which she worked in as the principal, for over 30
years. Besides her own business in interior design, Arlene loved to shop and obtain unique

(Shannon) Golub; her older sister Janet Steinberg; her younger brother Arnold Schlein; and
