THOMAS N. BATTISTA (Age 89)
Of Washington, DC, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018. Beloved husband of the
late Mary Lidwine Battista and loving father of Carol (Michael) Noonan, Thomas (Janet)
Battista, Billy (Dottie) Battista, Nancy (Tim) McCann, Richard (Kathleen) Battista and Mary
(the late John) Laux. He also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Battista was a native Washingtonian, a graduate of Gonzaga High School Class of
1947, and a graduate of American University.
He was a successful small business owner.
He enjoyed spending many summers at Bethany Beach with his family and most of all was
a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 2222 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington, DC
20007 on Tuesday, March 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. (complimentary valet parking available).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 4001 Yuma St. NW
Washington, DC 20016.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
