DANIEL MARTIN HEAD
Of Port Republic, MD, passed away at home on August 18,
2017, after fighting a brief battle with leukemia. Born in
Randolph, Nebraska on December 8, 1934, Dan was raised
in Washington, DC. He attended Gonzaga High School (1952),
Georgetown University and Georgetown Law School, and was
an Administrative Law Judge.
Dan was a loving husband to Jane Locraft for 57 years and was blessed with five children,
Kathleen Pawlowski, Dan Head, Laura Milgram, Teresa Bello and Justin Head; and 16
grandchildren, Colin and Megan Pawlowski; Brian, Abigail, Emily and Paxton Head;
Matthew, Luke, Mark and Margaretta Milgram; Daniel, Tim and Will Bello; and Declan,
Damien and Dashiell Head. Dan is also survived by his sister, Janet Tippett; sons-in-law,
Jim Pawlowski, John Milgram and Ed Bello; and daughters-in-law, JJ Johnson and Heather
Visitation is scheduled at St. Vianney Catholic Church in Prince Frederick, MD from 7 to 9
p.m. on August 24, with funeral mass at 11 a.m. on August 25, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gonzaga High School or St. John Vianney
Catholic Church in Prince Frederick, MD.
