JUNE LOIS WHITAKER HALL  

June Lois Whitaker Hall, age 90, died on December 31,
2017 at Lorien Assisted Living Community in Mount Airy,
Maryland.

She is survived by a sister, Wanda Way Whitaker of Mount
Airy, Maryland; daughters Arle Wilkins of Mount Airy,
Maryland, and Holly Lalonde of Columbus, Ohio; and a son,
David Hall of Lititz, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by
five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

June was born in Washington D.C. on May 22nd, 1927 to John Howard Whitaker and
Bessie Pauline (O'Hara)Whitaker.

She graduated from
Eastern High School (1944) in Washington, DC, and briefly
attended George Washington University before marrying David Harry Hall of
Washington, DC. After many years, that marriage ended in divorce.

She lived most of her life in Rockville, Maryland, where she volunteered extensively for
Crusader Lutheran Church and the Luther League. She worked for and retired from the
Montgomery County Police Department, and traveled extensively in China and Europe
during retirement.

Later in life she married Reverend John Edward Schmidt, who predeceased her in
2007.

Memorial donations in June's honor can be made to a hospice of your choice.
