Helene Anna Snouffer Lunson, 85, a founding member of the Williamsburg Woman's
Club and St. Peter's Episcopal Church, both of Arlington, died May 13, 2005 at
Powhatan Nursing Home in Falls Church. She had complications of Parkinson's
disease.

She was born in Washington and graduated from
Eastern High School in 1938.
She was married two years later and had lived in Arlington County since 1948.

Mrs. Lunson was director of St. Peter's altar guild for 12 years.

Her hobbies included gardening, oil painting, sewing and square dancing.

Her husband of 61 years, James E. Lunson, died in 2001.

Survivors include two sons, James Lunson Jr. of Arlington and Charles Lunson of
Honolulu; a sister, Mary Spangler of McLean; three grandchildren; and one
great-granddaughter.
