William F. McEntee
William F. McEntee, 77, of Lehman Township, passed
away Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at his home surrounded by
Born in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late
Francis and Helena Verhey McEntee.
He was a graduate of Chamberlain Vocational School
William worked as a printer for the former Sunday
Independent newspaper and later in the same role for
The Citizens' Voice.
He was a member of St. Therese's Church, Shavertown, and sang in its choir.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a son, William Francis
McEntee, Jr.; and brother, Richard Paul McEntee.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Florence Smith; children, Richard
McEntee and wife, Karen, Dallas; Linda Williams and husband, Jeff, Georgia; Mary
Kohler, Phoenixville; John McEntee and wife, Doreen, Georgia; Ben McEntee and
wife, Kara, Bear Creek; grandchildren, Alyssa, Joshua, Zachary, Daniel, Eric,
Michael, William, Ashleigh, Samantha, Rebecca, Steven and Jeremiah; seven
great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Honore and husband, Bill, Virginia; two nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Therese's Church,
Pioneer Avenue and Davis Street, Shavertown. The Rev. James J. Paisley will
officiate. Private interment will be at the convenience of family. Friends may call
Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St.,
