Nancy F. Gorbea

Nancy Farley Gorbea, 80, of Harrisonburg, Va., died
Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Gorbea
was born June 24, 1938, in Washington, D.C., and
was a daughter of the late Francis and Margaret
Farley.

She was a graduate of
Chamberlain Vocational
High School (1956)
and a member of Norview
Baptist Church. She worked at Norfolk Christian
High School as a bus driver for nine years.

Nancy was a wonderful wife, mother and nana. She received Christ as a young adult
and loved her Savior. She had an eternal impact on the young people who she taught
in church and was incredibly generous. A passionate Yankees fan, Nancy was
fun-loving, young at heart, had a great sense of humor and was always ready for her
next adventure. She made people feel at home like they belonged and was a great
prayer warrior for everyone in her family.

On Jan. 1, 1957, she married Paul Gorbea, who survives her. She is also survived by
sister, Eileen Kling (Jack); sons, Dale Gorbea (Ellen) and Glenn Gorbea (Sue);
daughters, Christine White (Dave) and Rebecca Beckstrom (Daniel); grandchildren,
Andrew Gorbea (Lindsey), David White (Katie), Amy McKay (Steven), Kristopher
Gorbea (Jane), Brittany Gorbea, Josiah Beckstrom, Jeremiah Beckstrom and Joseph
White (Selena); and great-grandchildren, Skylar Adams and Kathryn Petty.

Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kyger Funeral Home in
Harrisonburg, Va.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Eastlawn
Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg with Pastor Burress McCombe officiating.

A memorial service will follow at noon at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
