Elinor Janis Johnson, 82, a travel agent at Sanders World Travel in Washington from the late 1950s until the mid-1980s, died Aug. 12 at her
home in Washington. She had lung cancer.
From 1988 to 2004, Ms. Johnson was an office assistant at the Cathedral Park condominiums on Connecticut Avenue NW.
She was born in New Orleans and raised by an aunt in Washington after the death of her parents. She was a graduate of the old Central
She did secretarial work for the State Department in Rome early in her career.
Survivors include a sister and a brother.
