Died January 2, 2016, at her home in Falls Church, VA, of age-related natural causes.

Born December 23, 1921 in Weleetka, Oklahoma, the first daughter of Archie and Ethel
Sanders, she moved with the family to Washington, DC, in 1937 and graduated from
Central High School in 1939.

Upon joining Mount Vernon Place Methodist Church she met Ralph E. Brescia, and they
were married December 15, 1942 in Denver, CO, during his World War II military
service. After the war they built their dream home in Falls Church, and a few years later
moved their church membership to Dulin Methodist Church. At both churches they were
active together in choral music and as volunteers in all aspects of the church
administration, and she continued these activities for many years after his death in 1987.

Mrs. Brescia is survived by son Keith Brescia of Falls Church and son and
daughter-in-law Pat and Judy Brescia of Lovettsville, VA.

Weather permitting, a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. January 23 at Dulin United
Methodist Church, 513 E. Broad Street, Falls Church, VA.

Please check online for possible postponement.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Dulin United
