LILLIAN WAINWRIGHT MURDOCK  

Died peacefully at her Alexandria home on April 1,
2014 at age 95. Born on February 3, 1919 to Clyde
and Lottie Mae Wainwright (nee Pierce) in
Portsmouth, VA, Lil lived most of her life in the
DC area.

As a graduate of
Central High School (DC),
longtime employee of the Washington Gas Light
Company, faithful supporter of many local charities,
and as a steadfast patron of the arts - she was a beloved member of her
community.

Lil will be remembered for her passion for football, flair for fashion and love
of travel.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Marcia Gardner, her husband,
Fred, and many dear friends and family members.

Lil is survived by her granddaughter, Rachel Gardner Bridges,
grandson-in-law, Keith Bridges, and great granddaughter, Rosemary.

Lil asked that memorial contributions be made in honor of her
great-granddaughter to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington
Road, Suite 200, Bethesda, Maryland 20814.
