Fiorenza Baldi Pompa, 86, of Queenstown,
died peacefully November 17 at Heartland House,
Born in Washington, DC on February 21,
1926, she was the daughter of the late Filippo and
She was a graduate of Central High School in
Washington, DC and she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from
the George Washington University.
She spent her career managing real estate in the family business, F.B.
Partnership. On April 18, 1960, she married Daniel A. Pompa, who has
been her soul mate for the last 52 years. In 1988, the couple moved to the
Eastern Shore, where they resided in Queenstown. She served many years
on the Board of Christmas in April, Queen Anne's County, and also served
as the treasurer of the Bennett Point Improvement Association for over 15
years. She loved cooking, gardening and traveling, especially to Italy.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene F. Baldi.
Fiorenza is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel A. Pompa; her
daughter, Christina R. Pompa of Annapolis; and a niece, Ellen Baldi Allen,
her husband Andrew, and their children Rachel and Matthew of Cary, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, at Safe
Harbor Presbyterian Church, 931 Love Point Rd., Stevensville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made
to Hospice of Queen Anne's, 255 Comet Dr., Centreville, MD 21617.
