Marie Beller Seebode

Marie Beller Seebode, 89, died peacefully Sunday, October 29, 2017 in her home
surrounded by family.

She was born in Washington, DC, the youngest of ten children. A life long area
resident, she graduated from
Coolidge High School  (1946).

She was married to William F. Seebode for 49 years until his death in 1997. She
loved dancing, playing bridge and Rummikub, shopping, vacationing at the beach and
most of all, her family.

She was a talented artist, knitter, seamstress and flower arranger and she was very
proud of the several Senior Olympics medals she earned during her time on the
Leisure World lawn bowling team. She was active for many years in the Rockville
United Methodist Church, the Potomac Garden Club, the Gourmet Club and the
Potomac Echoes.

She is survived by her son, William F. Seebode, III (Paula), her two daughters,
Patricia Downes and Nancy Rubin (Robert), her six grandchildren, Jessica Johnson
(Brett), William Downes, Brett Rubin, Michael Rubin (Justine), Taylor Rubin and Anna
Rubin, her great-grand daughter, Lydia Johnson and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the
Leisure World Inter-faith Chapel, 3680 S. Leisure World Blvd., Silver Spring, Maryland
