Leonard C. Waters Jr.  

Leonard Charles Waters, Jr., 94, of Haymarket,
VA passed away peacefully on March 13, 2018,
at Haymarket Novant Hospital.

He was born in Washington, DC. on September 29,
1923, the only child of Leonard C. Waters, Sr. and
Gertrude Greer Waters. Mr. Waters was a veteran
of the Army Air Corps, having served during World War II.

He retired from the Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) after 40 years of
service where he was the manager of the Drafting Room. He was an active Master
Mason for 70 years, having been a charter member of Camp Springs Lodge #227
A.F. & A.M. and later transferred to Haymarket Lodge #313 A.F.& A.M. He was
also a member of the Kena Shrine. He was also active in the Lions Club in Camp
Springs and in Haymarket. He attended Christ Church in Warrenton, VA.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Sadie Jones Waters.

He leaves his daughters, Cynthia Waters Weakland of Nokesville, VA and Lynda
Waters of Warrenton, VA; close family friend Kenneth Simmons; granddaughter,
Tara Weakland Jewett and husband, Boyd Jewett; grandson Thomas Weakland
and wife, Corrine Gerard; and great grandchildren, Leona Mae Weakland and
Declan Boyd Jewett.

A memorial service will be held on March 24, 2018 at Moser Funeral Home, 233
Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, VA with visitation at 11 a.m. and the service
beginning at 12 p.m.

A reception will follow.
