CHARLES H. FINN "Charlie"
CHARLES H. FINN, Korean War Army Veteran, beloved husband of
Dorothy J. Mark, passed away June 11, 2011.
Born July 10, 1932 to the late Evelyn Rose Alvey and Ross Holman
Finn where he grew up in Anacostia. He later married and moved his
family to Birchwood City, Oxon Hill, MD, before relocating to
Accokeek, MD where he owned and operated a family plumbing and
heating business.
He leaves us with the cherished memories of his hard work, sense of
humor, and devotion to his family. Loving father of William Cora, Sr.,
Patricia Sebrell, Deborah Soper, DJ Underwood, son-n-law Billy
Underwood, the late Donald Cora and son-n-law Robert Soper, Jr. He
is also survived by his grandchildren Tina Childress, William Sebrell,
Jr., William Cora, Jr., Jenifer Droneberger and Kelly Sebrell; great
grandchildren Brandon, Jordan, Ethan, Allie, Tyler, Dylan, Lily,
Andrew and Brayden.
Viewing on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at
Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte
Hall, MD and where services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at
1 p.m. followed by burial at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at 3 p.m.
Immediatley following, we invite you to attend a celebration of life at
VFW Post 9619, 6527 Suitland Road, Morningside, MD 20746.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the LAVFW
Post 9619 Cancer Fund.
